Tama no misasagi (多摩陵) / Tama no higashi no misasagi (多摩東陵)

The Imperial mausolea right next to Takao station (高尾駅 / たかおえき) surely are among the most impressive manifestations of “Imperial understatement” one can find. And they are (blessedly) one of those few insider tips remaining in Tōkyō (ok, ok, I admit, there are some more – and quite some to be found on this website).
